Great Escape 2008 line-up finalised

All the stages for the Great Escape Festival 2008 are now programmed and festival goers can check out exactly where they can see their favourite bands or decide which new ones they want to discover.

Highlights include The Wombats, Vampire Weekend, The Fratellis, The Futureheads, The Automatic, Young Knives, Iron and Wine, Lightspeed Champion, The Ting Tings, Black Lips, Black Mountain, The Subways, The Hold Steady... and, of course, many many more superb bands both local and much further afield.

Recent additions to the line-up also include The Go! Team, Mystery Jets and this year's lead country is Norway - bringing riff based roaring power-trio Ungdomskulen to indie pop Ida Maria and cheerful electronica and shadow puppeteering of Casiokids... the Norwegian music scene is renowned for its diversity and innovating fresh sounds.

Three days of superb music descending on Brighton once more. You've gotta love it. We certainly do and we'll see you out there at as many events as our legs will allow us to get to!
