community newsBig gay... Stockholm?!Tuesday, 16 June 2009 Stockholm has long been known by the discerning LGBT traveller as one where sexuality doesn't pose a problem - which is surely one of the reasons that they played host to last year's EuroPride event. It's a relaxed, friendly city with great LGBT credentials - perhaps its most famous being the fact that supergroup and long standing gay icons Abba called it home as they won the Eurovision Song Contest in Brighton and took the world by storm! The city has been working hard to attract lesbian and gay visitors for some time, with investments in training, accreditation and market strategies on the world-wide gay tourism stage reaping very obvious rewards. The latest strategy is one aimed at REALVauxhall readers... a fabulous competition for a long weekend for two, complete with return flights, accommodation, free admission to all the city's museums and galleries, free public transportation, free boat sightseeing and dinner for two at a renowned gay bar and bistro! Odds of winning are HIGH, so get clicking. Watch the three little YouTube videos to hear real people talk about what makes Stockholm gay! And if you win, take me!
