community newsGaydio all set to launch full timeMonday, 7 June 2010 After months of planning, Manchester-based Gaydio announces details of its full-time FM launch. Friday 18th June at 6pm will see the launch of the UK’s newest FM radio station - the first of its kind for lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people. Gaydio will broadcast on 88.4fm across Greater Manchester, throughout the country at www.gaydio.co.uk and on your mobile. An exciting line up of presenters are busy looking through their music collections, dusting off their celebrity address books and keeping an eye on everything that’s going on across the country. There are some new voices to look forward to: weekday afternoons will be fronted by Galaxy’s former breakfast host Nicksy and Terry (Channel 4’s The Salon) and Rowetta (X Factor finalist and Happy Monday’s vocalist) will be happily reunited in the evening. Nik Denton (of club night 'Federation') fronts up the weekend dance offering and Chris and Emma will put a smile on your face in the mornings. If you’ve listened to Gaydio's pilot broadcasts over the past few years you'll already know what to expect. But this time round, they're launching full time - so make that summer fling a long term relationship.
