Barcode Vauxhall's First Birthday...

Barcode Vauxhall opened the doors to its big, bold, design-focused but fuss-free bar a year ago! Its opening in Vauxhall showed great foresight - Barcode set a new standard, changed drinking trends and helped put Vauxhall proudly on the gay map.
Barcode Vauxhall has successfully bridged the gap between bar and club as well as remaining consistent in its well priced drinks, great DJs and an attitude free vibe.
To celebrate its first year in Vauxhall, Barcode teamed up to with Axel Hotels, Bulmers and the gay London/Barcelona map guide to deliver an amazing night of extravaganza where everybody was invited - despite rumours that it was an invite only affair.
When I arrived, lots of people were outside smoking, talking and drinking; so I chilled out for a few minutes with them but it wasn't long before the music was calling again and I squeezed myself over to the dancefloor to party. Barcode had certainly got the support it deserves - the bar was busy with a good 90% of people moving to the beat!
We were treated to soulful, smooth house music on the dancefloor - the kind of grooves that you can't help but dance to. The DJs were doing a top job in keeping the whole place jam-packed.
The bar threw a Barcode Birthday Prize Draw with prizes including holidays to Barcelona, video iPods and iPod Shuffles. And as if that wasn’t enough all entrants to the competition received the Birthday Live Podcast recorded on the birthday, a new Barcode podcast every month, access to podcasts already on the website plus plenty of other offers.

With the signature masculine design of it's Soho counterpart, Barcode Vauxhall burst onto the burgeoning gay scene in Vauxhall just a few years ago.
