With Minty now hosting A:M each week, working closely with Jay Sharp and the rest of the team, Friday’s at Fire are rockin'! If you don't know her, she puts the Ah! into glam. Yes folks, when you think it's time to go and rest you'll be getting an alarm call from Minty - the siren that she is!
A:M has to be one of the best and biggest Friday nights in London. Tonight main floor electro grooves were provided by The Sharp Boys, David Jimenez, Gonzalo, Terry Bryan, Alan K, Stevie B and Funky uplifting house in the Mirror bar from The Oli, Paul Martin, Dave Cross and D’Johnny. On the door, I was welcomed by the fabulously fierce Glendora – always working a look and always friendly!
The Main floor was not as busy as the previous times I have been to A:M, but this was actually quite cool as it gave us the chance to move a bit more freely, take pictures of hotties and have a proper boogie to the electro house sounds.
The A:M fans refusing to sleep tonight were a 70% gay crowd of boys, a few drag queens and some straight clubbers who were here for the sounds. Plenty of the guys had brought their female mates out. The night did seem friendlier than on past occasions and there were no clubbing casualties. I actually think that A:M has really improved.
My time in Fire this time round was short and sweet, but very much enjoyed. With Fiction back on the scene, this could become the Friday night after-hours again.
