A Longleat Birthgay...
review
I couldn't quite believe my ears when Gary said his big gay birthday was going to be at Longleat Safari Park! 25 gorgeous guys were about to be set amongst the beasts!
Longleat, with its mazes, coarse fishing, ballooning events and of course the safari itself, was - we're told - the first drive-through safari park outside of Africa. Since it opened in 1966 they've kept the place on the cutting edge with safari boats, the Longleat railway, the Adventure Castle and lots more... but the highlight for me was the monkeys - who jumped onto our van looking for bananas! The lions looked like big cuddly pussycats and the wolves were dogs with serious attitude. We even had a deer sticking its head through the windows looking for treats.
There are also plenty of free attractions to enjoy such as King Arthur's Mirror Maze and the more sedate 'Life and Times of Henry Lord Bath' - all included in the ticket price. Just as it is in the city, REALLondon was there to capture a few choice moments! We don't think a day at Longleat will ever be long enough...
