Tarik's House Warming...
review
With Vauxhall rapidly becoming clubbing central for London it's no surprise that gay boys and girls are snapping up property left, right and centre.
Tonight I took the REALVauxhall camera along to Tarik's housewarming bash, taking with me - as is customary - alcohol and nibbles to help welcome him to the neighbourhood. Tarik is a well known face out on the scene and plenty of gorgeous people had turned up to help him christen the sizable property! He even had his own DJ bringing us funky, fresh tunes all night.
The Vauxhall Village straddles a busy network of roads just south of the river and presents a wealth of after-hours clubbing, cabaret nights and lots more. It's a strange sort of village by anyone's standards, with no post office and no village shop - but a patch of village green in the shape of Spring Gardens! Things have changed down here with the arrival of the major clubs. Despite dire predictions that West End boys wouldn't be persuaded to travel south of the river - club owners set up shop and the crowds soon followed.
Vauxhall allows us to spend the majority of the weekend indoors - whether that be a good thing or not! House parties follow after hour clubs which follow big nights out... the sauna brimming with totty - it's easily possibly to spend the entire weekend in darkness - briefly spying the sun en route between after-club and after-party... It's Tuesday morning before you've even had a chance to phone in sick on Monday!
