World Aids Day has become an increasingly important day on the LGBT calendar over the last couple of decades... a day to remember that this is still an urgent issue that needs everyone's attention. To mark the day, Andrew Harris and the Fire team threw a themed Juicy fundraising party with the door takings going to the Terrence Higgins Trust and London Pride.
International superstar DJ and producer Wayne G made his DJ debut at Fire tonight, playing the main floor alongside residents Seve Pitron, Rob Sykes, Gonzalo and Steven Artis... a real line-up of talent! Wayne G comes to Fire having made his name at Turnmills and Heaven, and joins the line-up as a Fire resident from tonight. As well as international DJ, Wayne is also a highly regarded producer (club smash 'Twisted' with Stewart Who? was his, as well as plenty of big name stars having worked with him such as Madonna, Kylie and Cher...).
Not one to be pigeonholed, Wayne took the crowd through a journey of house, anthemic vocals, electro and tribal beats - mixed with Latin flavoured percussion and infections riffs creating a melodic journey that you just can't help dancing to!
We had Sean Dickson, The Oli, David Jiminez and Paul Christian in The Mirror room, Dave Cross and Terry Bryan in The Lightbox, and old friend Mikey D making his return alongside DJ De La Torre in the Fire Lounge. Mikey has worked hard to become one of the most popular young DJs on the London scene... fresh and funky house with a splash of electro! Love it!
Another great party... fantastic production, some of the sexiest gogo boys in town and a DJ lineup to die for... and all for a good cause too! Love it!
