This is Alphabeat...
review
The word is on our lips... say the word... the word is on our lips... say the word... the word is on our lips... say the word... AL-PHA-BEAT!
The Concorde was rammed with girls and boys of all persuasions (half of the Brighton gay scene seemed to be drawn down to the seafront this evening) as Danish pop sensations Alphabeat took the place by storm.
As if watching lead singer Stine Bramsen get ever sweatier throughout the night was not enough entertainment for us, the band performed flawlessly... their poppy, retro, electro, who-knows-what kind of sound bounced around the venue and found plenty of happy people to enjoy it.
They seemed to arrive out of nowhere this year... but they're too good to vanish back from whence they came. The band have an undeniable energy about them and plenty of annoying, catchy tunes to ensure that you, too won't be able to get to sleep for days after one of their gigs... say the word... the word is on our lips... say the word...
