Dave Lynn Does Legends...
review
It takes a true professional to turn a rather smelly situation into one that brings the house down. I actually can't remember the last time I laughed as hard as at Legends tonight.
It's always good to see Dave Lynn on stage. Tonight, as well as delighting us with banter and song, Dave decided to move a potted plant that was getting between him and his audience... unfortunately for him, but as it turned out - fortunately for us, the pot and plant parted company, leaving a trail of black muck across the stage... which, it has to be said, smelled as ripe as any fresh compost might smell.
If you can imagine Dave, mid-song, using pristine stilettos to try and nonchalantly kick bits of dirt and stones off the middle of the stage and mumbling comments about the Blue Peter elephant between verses - then it may begin to explain why half of the audience were crying with laughter into their pints. The disdain on his face when dirty towels were thrown onto the stage and air-freshener sprayed at him just added to the level of hysteria!
Genius... sheer genius! Another legendary night at Legends!
